Exclamation What's required to put 90 Turbo in 87 car?

I need a quick answer guys and a fast one. I got my car being fixed as we speak and have a chance to pickup a 1990 Turbo & Manifold. My car is a 87 TII...does the 90 Turbo bolt right on with NO other mods required?...the dude who is doing my install says he's gotta modify the oil drain lines and remove the front timing cover and other crap like that to install it, wants 2 hrs labor extra...is that really true?

What the hell? I don't think our cars have timing covers.

Are you sure your mechanic has knowledge about rotaries.
About the 89-91Turbo aslong as you have the 89-91 manifold it should bolt right in to your 87.

there is no such thing as a timing cover. there is a front cover but there is no reason for him to remove that since a 89+ turbo/manifold will bolt right on to 87-88 block. If he did have to remove the front cover I'm sure he would charge more than two hours.
