Whats the problem?

I'm sorry its a shitty pic, but I was working on my 7 yesterday and noticed that the top of the rim is cocked out. Like its maybe a bent rim? A few people have told me my spindle might be bent, or to check the ball joint on that side. I have a crazy wobble on that side and I know that this is probably the culprit. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Your tire is almost flat....

But the only way to diagnose suspension problems is to perform an inspection. Pull the wheel and try to pull the hub from side to side to check play. If there is movement anywhere you will be able to feel where it comes from.

The spindles on 2nd gens are very thin and soft, especially in the area closest to the outer bearing race. I discovered this just last week....my rf spindle was bent in that area and you could see it easily with the hub/ rotor assy removed. My rim was tilted out (positive camber) about the same amount as yours is. A bent strut can cause this, but the spindle is softer and is more likely the culprit.

I just re-read your post and you had mentioned a wobble.....so check for bent rim/ excess suspension play first. If you find any, then all my rambling is for not.

Yeah check all the hard parts there behind the hub. But if that checks out, possible that its just a bad camber adj.

Thanks for all the help, I'll check the spindle and strut out. What about the ball joint? I've changed the other side but this side has never been touched. Maybe a stupid question, but i'm trying to eliminate different parts before I start changing stuff. Where would be the best place to get a spindle?

I got mine at a salvage yard. Cost me $12 and was in great shape. All I had to do was set toe-in.
