Whats with my engine?

So I start my car today, drive it to my grandma's, and drive it a bit hard on the way back.
30min pass, need to move it for my dad, wont start.
Cranks, but nothing.

Step on the gas, crank, sputter sputter, still nothing.
Think its flooded right?
Go back 10min later and VROOM. Starts right up.
BUT. It has a 500-700 idle when the engines warm.
No smoke, no missing colant, no smells, or nothing.

My idle has been real ruff since owning the car, but it has only died due to it once or twice.
Engine was rebuilt 90k ago.

This car runs VERY strong, never had a real problem with it.

Remove the one-way check valve in the adapter fitting to allow the gauge to not hold a reading. Either that or hold the pressure release button. Depending on your model, either will work. What you are looking for is 3 even bounces of about 85 PSI or greater when cranking.
