hey i was looking at my friends car the other day and noticed something that i could not identify off the top of my head. he has a 86 n/a rx7 and on the right side of the engine bay there is a compresser looking device on the belt that drives the eccentric shaft and the a/c compressor. the top of it is bare so im assumming he had no power steering. does that unit below where the powersteering mounts go with the powersteering? or does it power the a/c? i noticed a freon looking line coming out of it and going into the firewall. the reason i wanted to know is because we are modding his car but the a/c works and dont want to remove it if it goes to his. thanks in advance
