what's this mean?????

someone told me : If you have an HKS F-Con you should not need any other control devices!(like S-AFC)
what is that mean? F-CON can do all other devices' work?

f-con is a piggyback computer, same as s-afc and other similar things, unless you needed to control other things that aren't featured in the f-con, you should not need other devices to adjust settings

Same as the S-AFC; it intercepts the AFM's airflow signal and modifies it according to your programming. It basically lies to the ECU to that more or less fuel is injected as required.

What's the point of that? You tune it so the car runs better and then you leave it. That's what it's for.
What should I do?
Get it wired up and have it dyno-tuned.

Usually more power is found by leaning out mixtures a bit, so you'll actually use less fuel. This sort of tuning should only be done on a dyno though, so make sure you budget for a couple of hours of dyno time.

It's a piggy-back fuel computer. It's permanently wired into your ECU's wiring harness. You dyno-tune it to alter the factory ECU settings for fuel mixtures. You don't turn it off, you leave it alone unless you know what you're doing.

No offense, but you seem to be hopelessly out of your depth here. If you can't afford to have it professionally installed and tuned, just forget about the whole thing. If you jump into this without a thorough understanding of what you're doing, you will kill your engine.

Ah heck. Install it and leave it alone. It shouldn't cost you anymore to run it in normal driving. BOttom line is that you do not need/want to be intalling/removing it. There is no sense in doing so. Just install it and leave it alone.

What you really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, need to do.....is use the search engine on your brower and dedicate a couple of hours finding HKS and FCON. Sooner or later you'll find the site and the full explanation of how the FCON works. Then bookmark the site and on occasion go back and read and understand what it says. That's how things are done in life. Nope, I don't have a FCON nor a safc whatever. If you have a good engine, fuel pump rewire and a good wideband you'll not need any of the above to run a mild 10psi. I've never seen over 11afr during full boost on a cold day/night using the stock ECU.

Darn, install it and drive the darn car and quit being a worry wart. Have fun.
