So far, my longest trip was from here in Crestwood, KY to Moorehead, KY ~ 2 hours each way.

I plan on driving to 7-stock this year, and since I had the engine rebuilt, I may be able to make it...lol

I've taken mine from Augusta, Ga, to Wichita, KS without 5th gear - 20 hours ot sure how far it was.

then did the trip back 6 months later, still without 5th gear.

I drove from Conyngham, PA (Eastern side) to San Diego CA in the summer of 1995 in my 86 base. At the time she was still an automatic without cruise control and 100% bone stock. Trip there was approx 2800 miles.

The trip out took 5 days and my back was killing me!

The trip back home in December took a little longer... 2 days in Vegas, 7 days in Aspen CO skiing, and then from Aspen CO back to PA in 28 hours!!! The trip from Aspen to home was about 1800 miles. I slept for two days after that.

No problems either way except the air gets real thin in the Rocky Mountains! I had a car full of luggage and it was slow going going up those hills.
