whats a good clutch?

i just wanna know your guy's opinion on which clutch i should get. mine cant handle my power anymore and i was thinking of getting a puck clutch, and i was wondering if those are easy to feather so that i could launch better. what do you guys suggest?

I can't speak from experience, but I've heard nothing good about centerforce.

ACT makes good clutches, and I haven't heard any complaints about Exedy. You looking for stock replacement or are you looking to bump up the performance? I don't have any personal experience with centerforce but I haven't heard much good about them either.

THis is my humble opinion.. Puck clutches are for racing use on a didicated race car.. NOT 90% street 10% strip like most of us.. They do not engage very smoothly making the saturday night stop light to stop light cruise a real pain in the ***. Your Girlfriends coke might very vell end up on your seats!!!

I have an ACT and I love it..

The standard street strip is rated to 336Ft/Lbs

the Street strip Extreme is rated to 443 Ft Lbs

HOWEVER... the puck clutches are cheaper for the same holding force........

I dunno about a puck clutch on the street i've never owned one but i drove one in a mid 14 second cavilier, and not burning out or chirping tires was a problem and drivablity in the rain was just about none

I've got an ACT 6-puck copper clutch in mine. It engages like a light switch but I love it. My mechanic's put them in a lot of 7s (including an 11-second tII that he maintained) and he's never had one come back b/c of probs...
