I'd suggest asking in the 2nd Gen Forum. A search may provide the answer as well.

Series 4, 87-88: 5.5 psi
Series 5, 89-92: 7.5 psi

12 psi is possible with the proper mods!

According to the FSMs, peak boost is 6.56psi for the S4 and 8.25psi for the S5. In stock form, neither will hold this all the way to redline, which may explain why people keep quoting the figures above.

Mine spikes to about 14psi then settles at about 12psi. I use a manual boost controller, to increase the boost to these levels.

Without the boost controller I was getting about 5-6psi, which I think was reduced over stock because the stock IC is front mounted with some pretty twisty IC piping, causing a pressure drop.

12 lbs boost is VERY realistic. You're only a down pipe, mid pipe, and a cat-back away! Make sure and do your fuel mods or you'll pop your engine.

stock are 550, and at 14 psi you should probably have bigger injectors, and definitly have some sort of fuel management controller, s-afc, a chip, etc.

You're not doing anything but pumping super heated hot air into the engine after ~15 psi. And a big turbo pushing 6 psi will generate more power than your stock turbo at 20psi.
