What is the difference between the O-rings sold in kits for your injectors and the universal O-rings?

 

Did I ask a question that no one knows the answer to...? Its okay... The people at the auto parts store didn't know either...

All I need to know is if I put a universal O-ring on one of my injectors; Is it going to leak...?

Has anyone else done this...? Did it work okay...? The auto parts store does not sell my O-rings...

Please... If you know let me in on the difference... I just don't want to burn my car down...

 

O-rings for the fuel injectors are made for gasoline.

"Universal" o-rings are not necessarily so.
Ask them you are using it for gasoline and see if it's okay.
