Whats the difference....

between a 91 J spec and a 87 T2 engine? Just recieved my 91' J-spec engine, and just ripped out the 87' T2 engine. I found that the 91' engine is somewhat different from my 87'. Can't really figure out some differences so any help would be useful....

The front cover is different, It uses a mechanical OMP, and youll need to swap the old cover on. Im pretty sure youll also need to use your old intake. Besides that I dont know.

yoru probably going to want to find a 89-91 ECU and harness to run it... otherwise the timming will be off do to plug loction difference. as well as the OMP is run off the ECU. if you want to run your ECU the front cover and OMP have to be swaped as said above.

either way is a bitch.

should have gotten an 87-88 motor

You'll have to modify the current one, or have one custom made. Thats the only way.
