whats the deal with a duel pully?
I have heard that people have had problems with over heating when they take off there air pump because of the belt that is removed..
anyway, how does the duel pully work? Is it a new pully on the alt? cause i dont really see how that works. unless it goes from drive belt..? to the alt then to the water pump... or is it drive belt to alt.. then another belt from the alt to the water pump..
im trying to find a picture so what i just said would make sence but i cant find one.. soo.....

it has two grooves for two belts. basicly two alt pulleys put together. the extra belt goes around the water pump and the main pulleys. mazdatrix has one, so does racing beat, and there is one on FC3S.org.

the one at racing beat says
"The Aluminum Alternator Double Sheave Pulley reduces alternator RPM approximately 20% from stock RPM, and is intended for high performance and moderate race use. It is compatible with either the stock main pulley, or assuming you are not using the air pump, our Double Sheave Aluminum Main Drive Pulley."
so there is less alt put out? cause this is a problem because of my stereo.. and why would this be the case cause the first pully is still going to be pulling at the same rpm..
aswell, what does the last part mean when its says it needs the double main pully? isnt the stock pully have another place for a belt.. where the air pump belt went on.. or does that not line up or something?
where can i find this one..
Edit:
oh i found it at fc3s.. and its alot cheaper than the others.. nice!
