Wierd wires??

Hello all. I have a question for you. I am swapping a auto to a manual. I was working with some parts on the passenger seat. I notice what appeared to be a plug that had alot of pins. One red and one black. I didnt have this on the manual and i think it may be something aftermarket. It wasnt connected. The more i searched i found a red and a black opposite of the ones running under my dash but they had been cut. Any idea what they are? Also what should i do about the starter. You know the switch that runs from the tranny to the starter to give it power when in park? well im kinda confused. I think im just gonna hook up a start button and say **** trying to figure it out. I successfully jumped the soleniod tonight.
