I want to be able to get as close to this stance/look without rolling or touching the body of the car. I will use coilovers and what else is needed, I just don't want to modify the body of the FC with a roll/pull.

What wheel fitment and offset / tire size would get me closest to the look of the FC below?

Those rear wheel wells have definitely been flared a little bit. To get that look, buy some wheels that have way to little offset, and stretch a set of way too skinny tires on them. Then add as much camber as you need to tuck the tire under the fender. Then you'll be lookin' hella flush.
Those look like they're about 18x10, maybe a +15 or +20 offset (at the most) with a set of like 225/40s on them.

Also, check out how the RB duals NEVER sit perfectly straight. I wrestled with mine for literally weeks before giving it up and settling for them sitting a little better than that guy's.

Thanks for the reply. I did notice the RB exhaust. Idk. I was debating removing my rear wiper and doing the same thing, but I didn't know where to get the plug.

 

Should be able to find a rubber plug of some sort at the parts store. Or do it right and get a wiperless hatch

 

get a rubber grommet from any 92-95 civic at a junkyard, the grommet is located on the firewall of the civic, near the battery tray. clean it up, install in hatch glass, done.

works for the antenna hole in the 1/4 panel too.

After I look at that link, Idk if it's from being on a black fc or not, but I don't like that look as much. I don't really want a too small/skinny tire, I just want a really aggressive lip and stance without harming my fender wells. I really don't wanna remove the AAS either because the condition of the car is so great. I really just want the whole car stock, with a mean rim on it.

Is there any way to flush a set of rims and have proper tires and a mean look without modifying the wells or car?

not on 86-91 rx7's.


i dont know why your so against a fender roll, all it does is roll the inner edge that is 90 degrees to a 45+ degree angle so you can fit the right sized wheels/tires...takes 5-10 minutes per side, and doesnt affect the exterior look of the car at all.

look at 17x9 +18 enkei Rpf1's, or work emotion cr kai's in the same size...they fit very well, and only need a fender roll

 

I guess I just don't want the fender roll done wrong and ruin the body of the car. I never had a roll done before. The car is really pristine and I would hate to ruin it from a fender roll. :/

I know it sounds gay, but honestly, I have never seen a 3nd gen 7 clean like this one before. Just kinda scared to mod it to much.

i did my pull.....you dont want a pull, you want a fender roll...there is a difference.

rent a fender roller, and do it yourself....if you have common sense, you cant mess anything up.

Those rear wheels in your picture are actually 18x11. I forgot where I saw that though.

 

Hey guys, this is my car - the wheels are 17x9 +10 front and 18x11 +16 rear. Tyres are 215/40R17 front and 255/35R18 rear.

Car is on coilovers and can go a bit lower to be honest, just haven't got around to doing it yet.

The exhaust is a home-made job I think, so much so the right tailpipe is slightly bigger in diameter than the left

You have a roll and/or pull right?

 

The lips are rolled flat all around, the rears are pulled an inch or so. I run quite a bit of camber so not much work was needed. I think if I dropped more the arch lip woul fall inline with the wheel rim.

 

That will look great right until you hit a bump and the wheels hit the fenders.

I went to pep boys and grabbed some random grommets and washers and used a nut and bolt.

Edit: What's with the tires that aren't wide enough for the rims? In addition to the performance and longevity penalty it's really easy to curb rash the wheels with no rubber to protect them.

 

Because a 295 would have never fitted on there and I'm good enough at driving not to drive into curbs, I'll leave that to my missus.

Regarding longevity there is no difference in lonegvity between a 255 on a 9J and a 255 on an 11J.

Regarding performance, putting camber to one side a 255 on a 9J will have more sidewall flex than a 255 on an 11J.

 

Without a stock wing that looks really hot. I might have to attempt this look.

 

you gotta pay to play. expensive set of wheels, with massaged fenders for fitment. If you dont want to put the cash down for expensive rims or even touch your fenders, then how you gonna try to look like that?

Looking at these, no pull, but at least rolled fenders which is really easy.

Who said I wouldn't/couldn't buy expensive rims? Some of the rims I was looking at are several hundred dollars each (not including tires).

I could go all out and buy $4k rims if I really wanted to. I just wanted to know if I could achieve that look without modifying the body. I didn't want to roll or pull due to the fact that once you do that to a car, you can't go back.



Just because I don't want to modify the body, doesn't mean I can't afford it.

Why put those type of rims on a car you could not adapt to fit them? Once you do it, its no big deal. Unless you want to keep it original, then i would not suggest modding at all.

You can still fit some good wheels/tires without the need of pull. Just depends on your taste.

let us know what wheels/size your looking at and we could give you an idea of what needs to be done.

 

Idk what wheel size I'm looking at. That's why I aksed the question in the 1st post.

I just wanted to know what was the closest way to get a look like this without modifying the body.

It doesn't have to look identical, but it would be nice to have a nice size lip with a flush look. Maybe a bit smaller back wheel than JordB has.
