I think the mallory hyfire is a good upgrade. Better idle, better gas mileage, and a bit of hp all for roughly 100 bucks. upgrading your air intake? just get an adapter and a cone filter and some consider that the upgrade, some go crazy and do a true "cold air"

for starters read the faq

this is what i found, and before you make it faster make sure you do a tune-up

I just got my car and I want to make it faster, what are the first modifications I should do?

Do a full 60K tune up, replacing all the fluids (including brake, clutch, tranny, engine oil, coolant, and rear end lube), spark plugs and cables, all filters (including fuel, oil and air), belts, any hoses that are leaking or bulging, and the O2 sensor. In addition if the car is more than 10 years old or has more than 120K miles on it, the Pulsation Dampener (or pimary fuel rail and integrated Pulsation Dampener on 89-91 FCs) should be also replaced.

Cheapest and most effective engine mod? Airpump aux. port activation mod. Or at least make sure they're opening.

seems alot of people are paying tens of thousands of dollars for this simple task, put those tens of thousands of dollars into an engine and you can build a quick car.

exactly what i was going to say, make sure its running properly before you do any modding, if its out of sight that doesnt mean its not going to break or isnt broken. make sure its stock and runs like it did

Weight reduction is the cheapest mod (most of the time) you can do to make your car faster, handle better, stop faster, etc.

Nothing. Stock FC ignition is a very beefy system.

Personally I think the cheapest upgrade is either a do it yourself CAI with cone filter and no exhaust. As in a downpipe and thats it lol

For 300$ I think the best thing you could buy for the turbo or NA is an SAFC.
