my dumb *** moment

My brother asked me to help him put together his old Triumph TR4 that had sat for some time. He asked me to help because I "had more experience" with this sort of thing. While I was busy with something else, he installed the clutch and transmission. After dropping the engine and trans in the car we tried to start it. The car lurched forward on the starter. No amount of adjustment disengaged the clutch so we thought the parts store gave him the wrong part. Upon disassembly, we found the clutch disc was installed backwards. Of course it was my fault for not watching closely. Now, when he helps me I watch very closely.

Well I have a few ones.
My first was when I had to do the tranny on my N/A. Get new tranny shifts great and everything. But the reverse sensor fucked up so i get the one from the old tranny cus the wiring is still good. When Switching I guess I didn't put the little washer in between the sensor and tranny. Well put the tranny in, attempt to put in drive shaft. Drive Shaft does not turn. Put in shifter and can't shift put in battery it is stuck in reverse. ****... Drop tranny open it up wack the shift lever with a hammer then it shifts freely then locks. put in washer doesn't lock. put it back up.

Broke the screws that hold down the shifter multiple times.

Didn't lock the cap for the radiator good thing i stopped when i smelled coolant.
