Whats better? Boost Cont. or Turbo tim.
Keeps the car running for 1-10 minuets after you turn it off.
Cools down the turbo so the oil doesn't bake into the turbo and break it. Can't remember if it cycles coolant or oil through the turbo.

Two totally different things for different purposes.
A turbo timer you really don't need. If you have a water-cooled turbo (which most cars do), you can be safe by taking the time to sit in the car for a few minutes while the turbo cools (this is ONLY after racing it). Otherwise, with normal driving, you don't need to let it cool..the coolant will do it when you turn the car off.

You can easily blow your engine and/or turbo to pieces with a boost controller if you don't know what you are doing.
The turbo timer is a nice convenience if you tend to race around town and don't have time to let your engine cool down before you shut it down (ie. if you are often running late to work or school, etc.). Otherwise, it doesn't really have much value IMO, but it IS one of those inexpensive mods that looks slick and can't hurt anything.
I highly recommend a K&N air filter if you don't have one yet. Sure, it's more expensive than the stock filters, but it lasts 10 years and will give you a bit more HP and maybe even a bit better gas mileage.

don't bother getting a boost controler if you don't have any other mods. you will just ruin your engine. start with a full tune up and get your car running perfect first. thats most important. Then learn about your car before you start spending all your $$. It'll last longer and cost less in the end.
