what's .82kg/cm2 in psi?? And is this stock boost?

Hi,
My turbo timer read a peak boost of .82kg/cm2, just wondering what this is in psi and whether that's around stock boost? It has a 3" exhaust through from turbo back so that should increase boost a little as well right?

11.6

stock is 5.5 on 86-88 and 8 on 89-91.

over 10 on a stock fuel system is asking for trouble.

Hey,
Hmm yeh i'm not sure if it's a stock fuel system or not, i will be finding that out soon among other things, like what clutch is in it, etc... that's a worry, but i think it may be aftermarket, doesn't seem to struggle at all in high boost, can't see any signs of pinging.
Also the hks boost guage reads up to 0.6 boost, and it sits on 0.6, doesn't really go any higher, but the tt, which is attached to the same vacuum hose, reads .82 bar for some reason, so i'm not sure which would be more accurate, my friend thinks the tt would be...

.82 is fine on a fd but on a fc, it does not seem like the stock fuel system is up to par

Alright, so you think the digital blitz turbo timer would be more correct than the hks guage?

And is there an easy way of finding out if i've got an aftermarket fuel system without taking out the petrol tank?

is the turbo timmer a max recall type reading? or real time? if it's a max recall feature it might only be going that high on a spike for a milisec or something...

YEs it is just a max recall, it's the 'peak boost' it records, looking at the hks it only goes to 0.6.... THat's looking while actually boosting, it seems to sit at 0.6 for a second and no higher, so maybe it is just a spike or something, although yesterday i still got a 'peak boost' reading of .75 or something. Hopefully it's that, i don't want it boosting past it's potential.

kg/cm^2 x 14.2 = psi
bar x 14.5 = psi
Watch out, you're mixing the units.

K so according to the HKS guage, which shows 0.6 real time, i'm boosting at about 8.7 psi (.6 x 14.5), which is fine. I bloody hope that .82 kg/cm2 is just a spike.

Thanks for that, Dan.

You will need to remove the pump and visually inspect it.
