what is wrong
I raced a 94 probe gt tonight and lost. I had him off the start because i had a better launch. It would be really close. But if i rev to high in first or second and then try to shift into the next gear. My car gives me the middlefinger and rev limits at 4 or 5 the next gear. Any idea what this is an how i can disable/ fix it. All so i think it may be a computer problem. Its kinda wierd. My car will randomly jump when im cruising and it will pretend like its going to die when i'm stopping. Once again it happens randomly and im all too confused.

A modded PGT will be a very good race for a N/A FC, they have 164HP stock, and actually have some good torque. They are not all that heavy (around 2900lbs I think). The only thing that hurts them is the FWD. As for your shifing problem, I've never really heard of a car doing that before. Maybe a vacuum leak for the wanting to die when you stop though

no i havent checked my cats, I had a question i was looking over a pic of rx-7 exhaust and they have something called the main converter and down a little further a cat. They both cats? Also I have another question. I saw a list of someones mods and they said air p0ump removed. I know its used for cooling. Is it not needed? i was going to put cold air on but theres a hose going from my air box to something that could be the air pump. Either that or its the altitute thingy.

There are 2 "pre-cats" and then the main cat. The air pump is used to pump cool fresh air into the main cat, to keep it from overheating and to aid in emissions. If you have no cats, you can take of the air pump. If you need emissions, you need a cat, and therefore need the airpump. Do not take it off if you have a cat, your cat will be destroyed.
