Lots of rust, main eyesore is the rust on the front windshield, rust, rust, dings

The car seems to run fine, more power than i'm used to, but the turbo has a loud whine too it (like a supercharger sound). The guy is askin 3500 obo. Im thinkin 2000-2500. What do you think?

Zero. Once theres rust I won't even bother looking at it.

rust around the windscreen is bad news move on, this car is parts only.

 

a stock turbo that whines like that means it has some damage to the blades on intake side. Should not making a whining sound if its totally stock at all.

Lots of rust is BAAAAAAAD! Back away, not today! Wait for a car to come along with a nice body. Bodywork is pricey **** and will cost a fortune to get it back to really good condition. Stay Away!

 

I agree with everyone here! Dont buy it at all! Rust is NOT a fun thing to deal with! No! NO NO NO back away RUN AS FAR AND FAST AS YOU CAN!!!!

 

No your turbos run Good that means..There not damaged..If it boosts strong and the car only whines when it's boosted then ur fine but if you do hear it all the time then ur out of luck..

 

Check everywhere for rust. Get the car on a hoist to check out underneith. Look under the abs pump on the frame rail, if it has abs you'll have rust there too probably.

Worst thing could be the turbo is out of spec, but there's no need to say "The turbo's fucked" as we can't tell just from his description.

I say offer $2000 and make sure you have enough $ for the bodywork and a turbo rebuild.
