What would you do
Well I think next year when I get to my base *(US Navy), I wanna find a S5 T2. My goal with the car will just be street driven but I want it to have some punch. Lets say enough to take on any new Corvette. IDK? I guess shooting for 300 hp? Is that a good goal.
Im debating since I have that a 88 now. Just a rolling chasis. Sell it for a T2 motor, just a motor, and build it? IDK I would post up on here for thoughts on what to do and all. But would you do that build a seperate motor for now. It would be a rotary learning experience for me. Plus later when I get the car i would have this motor when the one thats in the car goes.
Thoughts?

Sounds like you're setting yourself up for quite a bit of work. I'm a weird fella and I like big projects like this. Stock TII motor you're getting about 180 HP. Get it to 300 shouldn't be too difficult without drastic drastic changes. I'm all for it!

300HP is not hard. A hybrid stock turbo, larger injectors and pump, exhaust and intake upgrades with something like a (yuck...) RTek ECU would do the job. Or go to a full standalone which will lay the goundwork for future upgrades (the RTek is VERY limited).
