FL what is the word for this?






what is this part called or what would the name of this sensor be? I'd love to search it but well im not sure what it is.. its under the intake manifold but above the header. I broke it last night install RB headers no my car starts then starts choking then dies

The entire assembly is the Air Control Valve, what exactly did you break? It looks like just a vacuum line got broke, but its hards to tell on my phone

You also don't have a vacuum line hooked up at the back of the intake, the one that curves upward

Yeah the vacuum lines are disconnected to get some room installing the header. What I'm asking about is a sensor of some sort it had two wires attached to it but was brittle and just cracked off. I'd rather not leave it broken but can't ask what it is lol. When I unscrew it there's a plunger and a spring if that helps.

You would need to look in the parts for sale section if you're looking for a used replacement otherwise a place which sells Mazda parts would suffice for a new part.

The port air solenoid being broken shouldn't keep the car from running. Is it broken so bad that it is letting air in? If so, you could just plug it with a bolt and drive with the check engine light on.

Or just take it off and put on a block off plate

But then you lose the VDI and 5th 6th ports
