Question What is this and where does it go?

Great subject line huh? Ok, Ok...I can't image what kind of response I am going to get from this - lol, butt....!!

I replaced a bunch of exhaust parts today on my 88 AE and I found this on my work bench. I did not remove it today but I did take a lot of parts out of the car about 3 months ago and haven't driven it since so it is a good chance I removed it back then. I searched online but couldn't figure it out and don't see any place on the engine for it to go. I did have my oxygen sensor replaced with an after market so I am thinking it might be the old one. It says ACR 12V on the side. Here is a url to the pic:

Water temp sender. It goes on the back of the thermostat housing underneathish the alternator.

Heh! Thanks for the reply but after slapping my self in the head and saying duh, I figured it out. I replaced the water sensor in my Tahoe about the time I started this exhaust work. Thanks again!

Not stock...

Haltech uses this type of water thermo sensor...
Other aftermarket EMS' use these GM sensors also.
