its been two weeks since it died. i thought it was the fuel pump as cant hear it turn on when i power the car . i took out the fuel pump assembly and checked it with a battery and it pumped. put it back in and nothing, the starter cranks i think the power wires that connect to the fuel pump must have died is there any quick way to check if its the fuel pump or the wiring or the engine thats failing?

 

also if it does start it barely revs and alot of smoke comes out of the exhaust it only started to do this 2 weeks ago.
