What valve is it htat controls the AWS? Where is it located? My car has a high idle and I am trying to rule things out.

It's called the AWS valve. On the S4 NA it's mounted on the drivers side of the intake plenum and looks like a cylinder with two hoses coming out of it. The BAC is a longer horizontal cylinder, the AWS is a shorter, fatter vertical cylinder.

Check the FSM in the FAQ for pictures, or open your trusty copy of the Haynes manual.
