What type of RX-7 do I own?

Here's the info: It's a 1986 RX-7 5 lug......with aluminum hood and no moonroof.
There was some discussion on here yesterday and came to conclude that it might be a Sport model. But, I read that the 86 sport models don't come in 5 lug.....only 4 lug. Is this true?

86 sports ARE 5 lug.. 86 BASE is 4 lug.. you have a SPORT. You can tell because there is no rear wiper and you can see where the sport wing was mounted. If you look under the car in front of the rear wheels you'll see plastic inserts for skrews where the sport aero parts used to be mounted

pop the hood. if you don't see an intercooler on the top of the motor, it's NOT a turboII.

hope that helps.

It would probably help if he had a motor in the car

Its a sport, lol, there's a difference between the sport and the base models (unlike Dodge who's base models they call "sport")
