If you don't want droning avoid HKS (I had it on an N/A).
I've also heard the Apex-i N1 drones as well. No idea on RB.

I have the Greddy SP Sport and it sounds deep and aggressive at idle and wails pretty good at WOT, but doesn't drone at all. That sh*t gets old fast. The rest of the exhaust stuff is in sig.

My brother's TII has the Racing Beat turbo back system with a catalytic converter replacing the presilencer.

What kind of cat is he using?
I was considering doing something similar, I have the RB turbo back and I'm getting close to inspection time. I haven't found any good bent inspection shops, so I need to come up with something that gives me a chance of passing

TIA

It was on the car when I got it for him. It's supposedly a Random Technology cat.

I have the mazdatrix/HKS road race exhaust, dual all the way from the engine to the mufflurs and it is not bad compared to some of the others that I have heard, until you hit WOT,but it will not drone on the freeway.
go to mazdatrix website and they have a sound clip of one.

What kind of power gains did you get with that exhaust?

Cool

I don't have cat back, just a downpipe and a straight pipe. That seems to work better for me and I seem to get a lot of attention, especially by the cops? When someone tells me to turn the base up on my car, I get in and step on my gas pedal. They seem to look at me funny, but hey that's the best that I can do. I've taken out my straight pipe and just ran with my downpipe, but the trebble is too high and not getting the maximum output that I need out of my motor. Anyways, I like everyone exshaust, my question is, is it working for you? Well have fun and Happy Thanksgiving Everyone.

see ya,

on my 91 vert, I just had a muffler shop chop the cats and put in a 2 1/4" straight pipe. Sounds sweet! still running stock header and and stock catback. maybe gained 5-10hp, but in my car that 5-10hp made a huge difference.

happy thanksgiving.
