What tool do I use to cut this metal...?

The metal behind my seats in my vert, there is alot of unnecesarry pieces back there, weighing my car down, such as where my spare tire was, and where the top-motors were. There is a few more places that I want to cut (nothing that will effect the frame i dont think) and i was wondering what tool would be best for this?..
Thanks.

Expensive welder/cutter. That is like overkill for sheetmetal and stuff.

Oxyacetylene torch, sawzall, cutoff wheel/tool, in that order of preference for ease of use.

Spot weld cutter, 4 1/2" electric grinder with a Cutting wheel (very fast and effective),

Sawzalls are effective for rough cuts but not finese work

You aren't talking about the bracing that Mazda put in there to keep you're chassis from twisting like Fats Domino (and he's either really old now or dead him twisting is uh... not a good thing) because of the lack-o-roof, Are you?

when i installed my rear strut bar, i used a sawzall to cut through the metal tower that holds the speakers. or like everybody else says a dremel would work well to for the hard to get places. what parts are you cutting out? pics.

Nibbler... nibblers are perfect for trimming sheet metal, without nasty flame, or flying sparks.

I no longer have an electric top, i took the motors out, unbolted the arms and motors, (four 10mm bolts) the top goes up and down fast and easy without them in
And under the motors, there is two metal mounts for them to screw into, but they are welded to the frame. I'm gonna remove those.

And thanks icemark, me and my grandpa are going to be getting a lot of air tools soon, a nibbler will be one of them, ill post results.

Make sure you post pics when you are done. I want to see what it will look like back there without all of that stuff.

so all you have to do is unbolt the hinges on top and fold it down? without the motors and arms does the top flex any? is it as sturdy now as it was with the motors in it.. im seriously thinking of removing mine cause they are so slow to move up and down and i have to use my hand anyway... thanks.. btw has anybody else done this?

Ok, the only thing i have removed back there so far, is the motors. some of the plastic panels, some insulation and some of the sound deadening (i couldnt remove the rest of the sound deadening because i dropped my block of dry ice and it shattered ) ill finish it up and paint it like the rest of the stripped interior. But here is a pic of what it looks like so far with the motors and everything out. What i circled in red is what i plan on cutting out. and the thing i circled in green, i want to cut it out, but it looks like it is a supportive part of the frame, so i dont know if its a good idea or not..so please lemme know!

yes actually that was the piece i was talking about...i removed that no problem.. it is only held on by spot welds.. i used a air tool that vibrates and just broke the welds and pulled it out... it does not affect the car or the handling at all... that little piece is only there to support the tire when it is in there... if you look at a coupe there is nothing there anyway... thanks for the pic that helped alot....

Extremely easy, I think you need a 14mm socket for the arm/hinge thing. and a 10mm for the 4bolts where it connects to the frame. After its unbolted you just unplug the harness, you will come to find that its quite simple!
