What time of the year did you blow up your RX7?

I seem to see more of them being blown up in the hotter months. This was because of overheating.

Apex seals is a different story. They just go

I forgot to note, I haven't blown up one rotary engine in 8 years.

Just my friends have.

I have owned a T2 Jspec and 4 other N/As. I sold every car, and all still run today.

I had an '87 T2 that popped in the dead of winter 1999 with 143K original engine. My '91 na **** the bed October 2000 with only 63K original engine.

My GTU snapped an apex seal in a parking lot back in late spring. Did a turbo swap and found out the engine I got had corroded housings and ripped it back apart in late summer.

The turbo wasn't technically blown, as it was already on it's deathbed when I got it. This weekend a J-Spec is going in it.

I havent blown a rotary yet. Just a four cylinder which was in the fall, timing belt broke. Damn dsms.

erm, like march or so the coolent seal problem became to big to ignore.. right when the weather started to warm up
