What are the purpose of these on the FC intake snorkel? Really what are the purpose of these for ? In the first pic on the left in the red circle what does that piece do and connect to the stock snokel? A silencer? :

In the second red circle there is a hole there also see 2nd pic for better view. What does that do?

Yes, that's exactly what the first piece is, a silencer.
You'll find those weird appendages on most cars these days, they modify the intake drone for a quieter driving experience.

Well, that's the story anyway.

Neither of my snorkels have a hole like that in the second pic.

For a moment, I thought the hole in your snorkel in your second picture was an abnormal hole. Then, I went into the garage and checked mine. It has a hole as well. I have no idea what the purpose of that is, I honestly had never noticed it before.

Jeez, I should climb into the attic and check mine again, maybe they do have holes like that I never noticed.

It is in the low spot I propose it is a drain for any water that gets in.

Would there be any benefit in removing the silencer for air flow?

Not really, no.

The only silencer that would even make the slightest differences is the silencer in the air box. It makes air flow at 180* from the snorkel to the AFM. It is just secured by platic rivets. Drill them out and the whole silencer comes out. The silencer on the snorkel doesn't do a whole hell of a lot at all, if anything.
