what T2 parts will work

i have a 87 NA base 5-speed. my 3 gear scyo is going. grinding in third unless i shift really really carefullywith the clutch to the floor. well any way i want to put a T2 tranny and rear end in. how hard would this be. and i may be able to get my hands on a 90 t2 that has a blown motor. maybe is the key word. what parts can i swap into my car?

well honestly itll be more work than its worth, the trannys are differnt too, the t2 accelerates differently and alot of people are/want to swap n/as into their turbos, id stick with n/a, rebuild it if you are up to it

you can swap everything, but you sort of have to swap everything in order to swap anything.

if you use the t2 flywheel, clutch, starter, and slave, the tranny will swap fine. NOTE: you must use a Series 4 t2 flywheel with your series 4 engine. S4 and S5 flywheels are different.

Next, you can swap the whole rear subframe from the t2 to your car (halfshafts, pumpkin, hubs, brakes, everything). just drop the old one and put in the new one. you'll also want to swap 5 lug hubs in front to match the ones on the T2 subframe.

if you just get the t2 tranny, you will need a custom driveshaft to go from the t2 tranny to n/a rearend. you can have a local drivetrain shop make it or buy it from mazdatrix.

n/a will never see 300, youll have to go turbo, thats definatly the best bet, although for a dd itd be tough, id keep the n/a for a dd, and fix the turbo for weekend

300 hp for an N/A is pretty extreme. You won't do it without porting, a haltec, and a whole lot more. Personally I'm shooting for 190 HP in my dd (what is that, 160 wHP?).
