what are the stiffest springs i can get?
i've been looking for a set of really stiff springs, without buying coilovers, i was going to buy the rs*r race springs but there back ordered for 3 months everywhere. and i was wondering if anyone knew of another set of springs that would be comparable to the rs*r's?

If you were told to buy a haynes manual, then your question was probably something simple that can be found in a haynes manual and is asked all the time here. People are ******** because they are tired of asking the same question all the time.
And he never called you a ricer, he said you would have "ricer bounce," and he is right. When you put stiff springs on stock struts, then the car handles like **** and countinues to bounce for a long time after you hit a bump. If you put on stiff springs, then you have to upgrade to a stiffer strut. The cheapest way is to get an affordable oem replacement strut that is stiffer (can't think of any brands of the top of my head) and some stiff eibach springs. Just remember, you get what you pay for.
Edit: the proper name for struts or shocks is dampers, because that is what they do. They damp the oscillations of the springs so that the springs absorb the bump and go back to their original place immediately.
Also, you can get very good coilovers for less than 900. 409 for the ground control coil-overs and 432 for KYB AGX struts. They aren't top of the line, but are very good for autocross and track days.

all the springs i find never have spring rates or specs at all besides lowering.
has anyone know about HKS super form springs?

I believe RS*R race is the stiffest springs u can get for the FC. The ones im selling include the struts though. But other then that, i would say go with GC sleeves with the koni yellows. I think you can order the spring rates you want from GC.

Yeah, thats a good idea, I didn't realize that he had upgraded struts when I posted that first post. As I posted earlier, you can get the entire GC coilover for around 450 once it gets shipped out. You can tell them what struts you have and what you are using the car for and they will decide what are the best spring rates. If your gonna get springs, you might as well spend the extra money and get coilovers.
Also, what exactly is the problem with the racing beat springs?

Ah, priceless, this from a guy running 400/275 springs. From what I've seen all the drop in style springs aren't much stiffer than stock, other than the RSR's which I think are too low and they drop the car unevenly. I don't get the impression that he's asking for 1000lb/in drop in springs or anything like that, just something stiffer than the usual Tein, Tanabe, RB, ST, etc springs.
I know from track driving and autocrossing that my car's too soft, and I want to go stiffer, so I'm saving for some coilovers.

i cant think of it right now =/ but there is a link about tuning 2nd gens for drifting on this site in the 2nd gen section search for "drift or drifting" and it has about 12 diffrent springs listed and there stiffness if u can find the link in the thread
If you already have Koni Yellows, you won't need very stiff springs... They are already VERY stiff... Get some cheap Tein springs off ebay... From my personal experience they have a better stance than the RB springs, and they ride very well... Stiff enough for track days, yet very comfortable on the street...
