What spark plugs would you recommend ?
I have an S4 HBP with 9.4 rotors and I`m planning on running it with a T67 and all necessary mods (gas/standalone/cooling,etc). What spark plugs would be best suited for this setup or what plugs do some of you guys use on your HBP turbo FC with let`s say between 400 and 500hp ? And my intentions are weekend city and highway driver and some track racing on weekends.
what's wrong with the NGK-R's?? they seem to work for anykind of app. or you can go with the HKS plugs but be prepared to pay up the **** for each plug..last i checked they were going for about 25bux a plug. also the denso irraddium plugs are very nice as well, i would prolly go with those.

check in the single turbo forum, they cover this more. I used to run the NGK BR10EIX ... stay away from those things, they are fine-wire irridiums and don't stand up to heat well (porcelein breaks from the rotary EGT's). I don't know what you're doing for ignition upgrades but some don't like the non-resistor plugs like the BGK B10EGV. The HKS Twin Power, which is what I use, is not supposed to run with non-resistor plugs.
I have a Garrett T67 and I have decided to go back to 4 BUR9EQ's. They seem to be the best balance of price, performance, and reliability. Those name brand race plugs are really expensive (over $100 a set), and if you flood a set of plugs they're never the same even if you clean them in my experience. The "colder" plugs dissipate more heat from the combustion chamber, but if you keep exhaust temps down with proper octane (race fuel) cooling (alcohol injection is an option as well) and timing (good tune) you shouldn't need 11 heat range race plugs.
I also found, at least with the fine wire irridium's BR10EIX, that idle quality noticeably suffered. I had to add significant fuel and timing at idle to get things stable.

Actually thanks asking about ignition upgrade, I'm gonna me running an MSD 6T on leading coil and stock trailing coils.
I'm asking about this now since my car wont be tuned on a dyno until mid july.

NGK part number: B9ES
they were made for jet ski's, but they work REAL nice in rx7's. its all i been running for the last 5 years... and they are under $2 per plug. real hard to foul out too.

I run 7s leadings and 9s trailings but I agree with the above, all modified turbo cars should be running 9s all the way around at least. I will next time I need to change plugs because I'm upping the boost soon.
With the frequency of plug changes on RX-7s, it seems odd to run expensive boutique plugs on a street car. With an ignition box, you'll find that the regular old NGKs do the job quite well.

plugs
I run the same plugs on my 4 port turbo high compression motor(GT45R)with a microtech with Xboxes and i have no ignition, detonation, pinging problems at all,i spend some time thinking about going with different plugs 2 but i have not make a choice yet.
I wonder how good these actually are. I need plugs and about to buy some looking into these. if there decent then thats a perfect price

Yep. But at the moment I'm still running baby boost. When I turn it up, I'll be swapping to all 9s as one would expect.
4 9s is the way to go, for sure.
