WA Is anybody familliar with partstrain.com for new or rebuilt driveline??

It looks like http://www2.partstrain.com has both new and rebuilt driveline's for RX's for $196 including shipping. The rebuilt one requires you to send in your old core. The new one apparently doesn't require a core.

It sounds like a good deal but I've never heard of PartsTrain and am therefore a bit cautious about giving them 200 bucks.

Here's how they describe the new one:
  • POWERTRAIN INDUSTRIES DRIVESHAFT -- Includes Flex disc; A high quality, direct fit OE replacement driveshaft.
  • Fits 1986-1991: All Submodels; All Engines;

I thought that automatic, manual, N/A and turbo drivelines were all different. Does anyone understand this? I might give them a call but will probably get a receptionist that doesn't know anything about it.

Thank you for any info,

Don

I'd steer clear. Their ordering system and catalog seems screwed up. It lists only one driveshaft between the NA and TII, while we all know that they are different shafts. They list the GXL as turbocharged. When I attempted to look up parts for an '81 DeLorean, it kept sending me back to the main menu with no explanation even though DeLorean is on their list.

Stick with the reputable vendors.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know any reputable vendors that sell a complete driveline, new or reman, in that $200 price range?
