Since this subject has been discussed a zillion times, you're not going to get much help from anybody unless you ask a more specific question and tell everyone what your goals are.

1. How do you use the car? Track days, autocross, drift, daily driving, show, etc.?
2. Keeping stock fenders or adding wider ones?
3. What suspension? Stock or coilovers, etc.

To get some general ideas of what people have done in the past, you might want to start with the "Official" FC Wheel Fitment Thread, but it is over 100 pages long and has been going on for over six years, so be prepared:

To fit in around here you'll need some 18x12" -47 offset wheels with 195/35 tires.

I wanna put some of these on a Candy Lime Green 1983 Honda Civic with an Ultra ultra plush peanut butter interior, and slam it on some airbags.

Rough Estimate:

Fronts:
17-18" diameter
8" wide
0 to +40 offset

Rears:
17-18" diameter
8-10" wide
0 to +45 offset

Ideally +20 offset should get you pretty flush without stretching/poking too much. Of course tire sizes are also going to make a difference.

this subject is subjetive to how you use the car, form over function or are you in for performance?

I always went off Ted's page as a guideline, but of course you have those who get wheels to "fit"

these are more conservative http://fc3spro.com/TECH/MODS/RT/rims.htm

The convertible top and hood should open suicide style, otherwise it defeats the whole purpose.

As for TED's website with fitments, go with that, he doesn't make that stuff up.
