How big is the gas tank? I had originally guessed about 50litres (13.2 gallons). But I recently put in 56 litres. So ... would 60 gallons be about right?

If so, crazy. I was on the bottom line of my fuel gauge when it took 56 litres... leaving 4 litres left! (that's like 30 kilometres! I thought I was out of gas).

Just wondering... and my fuel light never came on that time. Fuel light came on today, but I only put in 25 litres, didn't fill it up.

 

I have never filled up more than 14.9 gallons ...and that is after driving a few miles on the low fuel light.

I thought I read somewhere that the tank capacity was 16 gallons, but I guess not.

i don't know about the S5, i'm pretty sure its not more than a few gallons larger. it should say in the FSM

18? thats nutty. I've only filled 15.x gallons. I know FD's have like a 2-3 gallon fuel reserve even when the low fuel light is on.

 

i've filled up my car from an almost empty tank i know its over 17 gallons. that's for damn sure!! over $40!!!!

 

Supposed to be like 70 liters and 90 liters?

U.S. cars are supposed to be 16.6 gallons for Zenki and something like 19.x gallons for Kouki.
This is not consistent with Euro models though.
