What is with this six-spoke nonsense?

Just curious. Every FC I've seen lately with aftermarket wheels has some odd six-spoke varient. Why? They look goofy with five lug wheels, and I have yet to see ANY that look good with the car...

...what, are five spoke wheels not cool anymore? Where are the dishes?...

What's wrong with 5-spoke?
Hell, I still like the old school Volk Racing Group-C's.

As for 6-spoke rims, the Volk Racing TE-37's are some of the most popular trendsetting wheel designs in the industry.

Hell, I still want a set of 3-spoke Advan SA3's...
