I am the proud new owner..

of a black, 1989 RX-7 'vert. Wee. Getting it next weekend, cuz it's in IL and I'm kind of in FL. Not a big deal, gives time to appreciate it.

83,000 miles - one owner - black interior - 5 speed - bone stock

Not too shabby. In fact, it looks pretty nice. white pinstripe has got to go, though.

I think it looks great. And this is the first I have seen that doesn't look bad with a pinstripe.

The HUGE delearship sticker ruins the looks though.

You laugh? That's a strange reaction.

Contrary to what the manual may say... There is no reason you cannot drive without the toneau cover in place.

Mine stays in the garage when I am not driving it. So, these days the top is never up and the cover is always on... However, when the vert was my only car, I drove without the cover because it gives you more trunk space (in case of rain - the toneau has to go either in the passenger compartment or in the trunk - either way it is very bulky), and if for any reason you need to raise the top fast, you can do it at a red light without getting out of the car.

Great buy, ninja6...

I have the same 'vert (but an '88). It's crazy fun to drive!! Needs some serious mods to get it even close to the hardtops, though. It's about 800lbs heavier, and a lot slower because of it!

You can't beat the look of the 'vert, though. The ladies love it, too!!

Enjoy!

Joshua

800 lbs. You must be exagerating. I'm sure you really know it is nowhere close to that.

Sorry the car wasn't what you expected it to be. Lots of seller's on e-Bay lie. Keep looking and I'm sure you'll find something soon.
