Lightbulb What should be my first mod?!?!?!?

Im about to pick up a S5 TII and it is stock except for a BOV and racing beat exaust. I know that keeping FC motors cool is a good gain of power but i cant decide between getting a street port or new radiator/intake. I was also wondering if you get more power with front mount intercoolers on fc's. if you have some info or suggestions let me know!

reliability modifications first (vacuum hoses, do a once-over on everything, fuel system analysis, radiator, etc)

Streetport or Radiator? Those are two completely different ballparks in terms of cost.

No. He already has a full exhaust and no hint of any extra fuel.

Any unshielded intake is just going to suck in hot engine bay air...not good.

First mod? A full tune-up/filter change/fluid change.

definatly a decent fuel pump(walbros are cheap and decent) and a fuel cut defender(FCD). that way if you creep, which you most likely will with that exaust, you wont blow your motor. getting a streetport will require a rebuild of the motor, engine management system or fuel controller, larger injectors and pump, and several other things.

FCDs are great with something like an SAFC. Relying on the FCD to save your engine however is a huge no-no.
