What's up? A good place to start is with a free flow intake, a downpipe to remove the pre-catalytic converter, and an aftermarket boost gauge so you know exactly how much boost you are running. If you want to go further, you should get to get a hi flow main catalytic convertor or straight pipe, a Fuel Cut Defencer, an upgraded fuel pump, and something to control the air/fuel mixture like an Apex S-AFC. There's a whole lot more that you can do to your car after these things, but this is a good place to start and will make your car feel noticeably faster.
My AE:
My Plans:
ENGINE (April 2002):
Streetport/Rebuild
Walbro Fuel Pump
Apex S-AFC
Bonez Turbo-Flo System
Blitz Blow off valve
Racing Beat Sway Bar Links
Cosmetic (November 2002):
East Bear flat headlight kit
Knightsports rear spoiler
Volk SE-37 18 inch Bronze or similar style 18 inch
repaint
redo seats

FreeRuleZ,
We just ask that you NEVER crash the 10th Aniversary, remove the 10th AE emblems, or change the color. They're only ~600 left of the 1500 produced. Just promise us you'll never cut the car and you'll keep all OEM pieces you take off.
As far as performance mods most are divided into 3 stages. You should check out rx7.com and rx7store.com to see what's available.
Stage I is usually performance intake, cold air box, fresh air headlight scoop, performance exhaust, performance catalytic converter, silicon vacuum lines & wire covers and most importantly - gagues to monitor the car including air/fuel, boost, exhaust temp, coolant temp, etc.. This should push you to 230fwhp (190 rwhp). Getting new struts/coilovers, replacing the rear bushings, and other suspension upgrades would be a good idea as well.
Stage II relies on the stock fuel system. This includes ignitition system (stronger spark), front mount intercooler (can be stage III), devices to fool the OEM computer into providing more boost & fuel, etc.. This maxes out a 220-240rwhp (260 fwhp). You MUST BE VERY CAREFUL in this stage not to run the engine lean - or poof it will be blown.
Stage III gets into aftermarket computers, fuel system upgrades including larger fuel injectors, upgraded fuel rails, upgraded fuel pumps, upgraded turbo's large front mount intercooler, and other pricey upgrades. This should net you 350-450 (or more) RWHP.
Take you time and look at several 2nd gen rx7 sites. There are allot of options to choose from. You might just want to get some accessories first like a moonroof windguard (my favorite), crome license plate cover, tinted windows, guage pods, etc...

Only 600 of them left?
Where did you get those figures?
Sometimes I doubt the exclusiveness of the 10AE and think mazda produced more then they stated..
Either that or Canadians bought a good portion of them..
There are at least 5 other 10AE's in my city, not including mine...
