what should i do with a t2

i wnat to sell my fd (finacial reasons) and pick up a fc (s5 t2). but i don't know what to do with it. whether to mod the the t2 motor or to put in a 20b as a long term project. these are a few of the questions i am asking my self:

1 can you use fd housing in a t2 (because of the bigger ports)? would it be worth it? (obviously don't know much but willing to learn)

2 do you think that going for a 20b is realistic? should i just stick with the t2 motor and since i would have a good chunk a change with the sale of my fd, use it to mod the hell out of the fc?

3 will the fc have just as much or maybe even more potential than the fd?

4 these are the questions i am asking myself, especially 1 and 2 because i think just to have a rx7, whether it is a fc or fd is what i truly want. you know. i love these cars. and i especially love that fc i just witnessed in the video.

please help me decide. i do need to sell the fd and i just don't know what i want to do when i pick up a fc. and just so you have a number to work worth while your answering these questions and for arguments sake, lets say i am working with $8000 after the sale of the fd. i want fast, i don't care about emissions, i want to be able to drive it on the street (to hang out with and not as a daily driver), i want to drag it and don't care much for twisties, i want a good look (and to me that fc looks good and especially without the interior, i like that). i don't think the non-interior will work well with a fd. what do you think i should do?

this is the vid i am refering to (thanx vosko):

Get an 87-88 TII which is much more common and less expensive and do the 89-91 body conversion. The 87-88's weigh less and their engines are full of potential. Plus, with their lower-compression rotors you have a bit more room to work with in terms of upping the boost.

Since S5 TII's are rare enough already, stripping one out to be a drag-racer isn't something I would recommend.

If you're getting an FC turbo then get an '89 and up unit because the turbo is different (read:better), it's proven fact it spools better and has better longevity. But if you really don't know what to do with it then give it to me
:-) I'd do almost anything for an FD (my favorite car of all time!)

Hell if you are selling your FD because of cash the TII will still suck your pocket book as well. Get a N/A!!! haha Jk I am just starting ****. IMO I would get the S5 TII the only thing they have that I would take out is the ABS. Other than that you get a more aggressive styling, better interior features, last but not least more power. My $0.02

He says that he's stripping the interior out anyways. Plus, you can always buy a S5 turbo for $200 or so.

Buy a S4 TII, keep the S5 TII's relatively unmolested and unstripped.

of all these posts, no one REALLY told him what he wanted to know. hell, i have the same ?'s. just bought an 88 TII and have been all over the internet since. been looking for a better intake and exhaust. RB claims big power gains with their exhaust but there is no way in hell i'm gonna spend $800 for an exhaust. i'm gonna buy the downpipe and y-pipe and fab the rest. also, i want to paint my body molding to match and put s5 tails on. can't afford rims yet so i put on a set of 225/45-16 kumho ecsta 712's. i guess i should make a new thread but, how well do rotaries take NOS? you can always benefit from a large FMIC with big piping. at what boost levels do i need larger injectors? and i guess if my boost ever gets that high, i'd need a haltec ECU. AND, unlike the other guy, i'm a hardcore autocrosser. who makes the best susp. for the money. do i go with eibach everything, or maybe HKS makes a kit for the 2nd gens. well, i'd better shut up. i don't know what i'm talkin about anyways. ya, that's my car attached.

Craig

ps. there is a pic of my car on another thread "So I went to the dealership..."
