Depends...someone could have just cut down the springs.

Good suspension does not mean pissing blood every time you drive...compliance is the name of the game.

Your answers are getting to be more and more confusing, BTW.
In your first post you said the car was "completely stock except for the exhaust" but now it's got super bling brakes and tires and is lowered as well.
Do you have any pics of this car?

Ahhh, the price to pay for speed.... Things will start breaking if you don't take care of it correctly, or if you f up the install; But if you watch when you boost, and keep it all tuned up turbo's are a BLAST!!! Hooray for Rx-7's and their constant tuning, otherwise they don't rocket around!

I don't see the point of doing suspension and brake upgrades if you want "mostly 1/4 drag", just my opinion of course. All the bolt ons on your N/A will get you like mid 15s and thats pushing it, not even worth taking to the track. Do a turbo swap. And no, things don't start randomly braking after you put a turbo engine in an RX7...

Yes, forced induction is harder on any engine. Let alone a higher compression NA engine. I bought my NA for reliability. **Lighten chassis up as much as you can**. Pineapple sleeves are a good bang for your buck. I think the header confusion was that you said headers, when it only has one header. But they knew what you ment it is a generic term.

Definitally get a Quasiturbine supercharger and some muffler bearings so you don't blow one out. Other than that your best bet is to add an extra rotor or two to increase your power output.

And definitely a radiator insulator. These engines run hot for a reason.

first off congrats on the new 7

now to business, n/a are pretty great cars just depends on how you spend your money and where.

First ditch all the hype about big brakes, shifter kits, suspension ...etc

Go and make sure your car is good enough to handle the street of horsepower in the long run. Do a compression check and do a no **** tune up. Next thing to do in your list is replace anything that is broken or that will eventually fail.

Now to the fun stuff-
power thats the key everyone wants but any idiot can make power its how you build your supporting mods to make everything work right

example- dont just get a intake and muffler..get
filter
cold pipe
headers
mid pipe- if u have smogg a better flowing cat
exhaust
source of cold air..ie..vent tubes to filter, cold air box, or cold air intake your set up

an N/A engine wont create a lot of power but if you do the basics and do a nice suspension set up it will be a fun car to drive

now to your big brakes, you are gonna track this car as i read about on a previous post. First thing you dont need $2000 brakes, if you are a pedal to the metal type of person , well the 4 pot calipers of a t2 will do just fine

Dont waste your money all at once because you need to make sure that your engine is within limits to play with if you need a rebuild save up for that first or you will end up like most of the NEW GUYS, they end up in a hole because they spent 900 dollars on their exhaust and cant pay for a rebuild...now they have to sell out

Just search up as much info you can on basics and then worry about getting as much as you can -um weird

good luck and welcome- if you find yourself getting flamed dont hesitate to pm a mod

"A no **** tune up" does that mean check for vaccuum leaks, replace belts, and change all fluids?

"Stock except for the exhaust"...I think not.
Someone has been all over that car ( I particularly like the red dust shields, thought of doing the same to mine) and it looks very nice.
Any engine bay shots?

Ah, I see the fun stops under the hood...although there was enough red paint left over for the alternator.

The dust shields are the sheetmetal plates behind the brake rotors.
Stock, they are silver, yours, at least the rears, have been painted red- sets off the rotor very nicely.

I think you've been toying with us to a certain extent.
You have to know that your car has multiple upgrades already (quite a few cosmetic ones apparent in the exterior pics), so what is it you really want to know?

Even a cursory comb through the forum will reveal that the turbo swap is the overwhelming choice/preference for horsepower...is that the way you want to go or are you aiming for a "beefy" NA?

We've got to stop meeting like this.

I still stand behind my initial thrust...do the supporting mods first.
Swap in a turbo drivetrain from the flywheel back.
Upgrade the cooling system.
If you don't already have it, get a RB header.
In theory, the intake can be improved but rarely seems to be properly done and I haven't seen supporting evidence for this mod.

Lastly would be the engine itself with all that entails...consult your chosen engine builder for advice.

No, not a pest.

I'd like to see the big brake kit and do me favor...clean the engine bay.
Drives me crazy to see a nice exterior but the underhood looks like an afterthought.
