Exclamation What should i do about this cituation?

Hey guys, well i have some bad news. Supposidly theres this kid that has been "interested" In my car and was on the verge of stealing it last week. I found out through a freind that knows a kid that happen to own an Rx7 who needed parts and offered to get him a car, and it happen to be mine. This kid that he was offering the car to knows this other kid i know and told him not to cuz he knows the kid that owns it. But now i know this ****** kid wants my car and im going to have to increase the security of my FC a bit. But this is the crazy ****. I actually met this kid who supposidly wants my car. I was working on my car at a freinds house and this kid comes by and starts asking my about my car. He wanted to know like how much they cost, and about the car in general. What would you guys do in a situation like this?? I think im going to buy some kind of a weapon maybe or a gun and keep it with me just incase. Im not letting no one take my baby...

Why not buy a spiffy alarm instead of a weapon? I just installed an alarm that I had in my truck and it comes with dual zone motion sensing, anti-carjacking, dual zone shock sensor, fuel, starter, and ignition interrupt, etc.

start sleeping in your car at night, and for day like when you're at work pull the main fuses.

Battery kill switch. EGI kill switch and ECU kill switch.

He won't get the car without a tow truck like that.

Damn this sounds like a Jerry springer episode, he's cheating on me with his sisters's daughter's best-friend's second cousin or something.

Let me ask you this.

How old is this kid? And how proficient is he at stealing cars? Does he "know" cars (automotive knowledge)?

It is one thing, is this kid is a simple...use a screwdriver in the ignition type.

It is another thing, if he can hot wire, disconnect alarms, drive w/ no steering wheel etc. type.

Having your car not being able to be stolen or driven off still does not prevent them from stealing parts off of your car.

Looks like its time to invest in a garage or a shotgun...

Or maybe a dog with bees in its mouth. So when it barks, bees fly out of its mouth and sting the guy trying to steal your stuff.

I dont really know this kid, i mean he dosent seem like hes very professional i mean he came up to me and started asking all these questions about the car like im not going to assume hes thinking about stealing it. But im more worried about him working with other ppl to get it you know. Well anyways for the ppl around Boston you know how it is when you get into those crap areas like lynn and chelsea and **** theres a huge risk of getting FC's stolen beacuse a lot of ppl like these cars around here, so just be carefull.
Thanks for the advice.

Yeah, topic should be Loung'ed.

However, the FC is a VERY easy car to steal. I would simply mount a camera above the car, then activate the VCR with a motion sensor...

Yeah i thought youd ask, well i posted here because i wanted to know good ways to help prevent my 2nd generation Rx7 from being stolen, and i figured the ppl here would be able to tell me the best ways they know to prevent our cars from being stolen. And more so because i trust the ppl in here more than in the lounge to give me good advice.
Thanks Icemark

If you think that only the 2nd gen people can offer you the best advice,...you're wrong....

Some people (who can be helpful) never come to the 2nd gen section.

Buy the Autoloc. I had these on my daily driving civic. they tried to steal the whole car but they couldn't. so they just took my system instead. Now i have Autolock and alarm. =) but it works.. never mind the bullet proff **** in the infomercial. i think Autolock works since thieves don;t want to get caught off gaurd. this is just my 2 cents.

i don't know about stealing, but they sure are easy to get into. takes about 5 seconds with anything thin and strong. i used a saw to get into my car once because i locked the keys inside. fortunately, if you don't want people using that trick (which completely bypasses the stock alarm system which thinks a key was used), you can just take the door apart and make a piece that covers the inside so that trick can't be used. but i'm careless, so i like being able to break into my own car without breaking anything.
and that, my friends, is 100% 2nd gen specific.

Let him steal it, then call the cops on him, or just drive to his house once you notice it missing and **** him up. Or you could stay outside with a bb gun and shoot him when he comes, or a paintball gun, or a real gun, but you might get in more trouble for that, lol. Seriously though, mount a vid cam there, and just call the cops once its stolen, then make his *** pay.

In some states if a car is stolen it is given a stolen title or something like that and greatly decreases the value of the car. I wouldnt wait for him to steal it.

And about the autolock... there are ways around it. There is a product being sold online to repo men and such that breaks the autolock and clubs in minutes. I forgot what the link was but I have it at home. Scary stuff.

Next time you see him, tell him you have a collection of nunchucks and a mace, and you've been looking to try them out on people who steal cars. Maybe that will deter him a little.
