What should i do???

Okay, i've just bought about a month ago a 91 rx7, i love it , i bought it from a junk yard with a bad tranny, i was going to kit it and put rims and a full rb exhaust kit and some new paint, and a new tranny, and call it done for a little while, i'm going to be going to iraq the middle of january and i'm thinking i should come back with about 25,000$ so, should i go ahead and do this or just sell it cause i'm wanting to have a fast nice looking car, is this a good power plant or what? should i just sell it and get something better or not?thanx in advance

this is an excellent powerpant to build on

I would wait - the largest hang up on a large build is waiting to get money to buy the parts you want...then that leads to discouragement on the project since it starts to drag on

I would wait until you can buy what you want - then buy it and bolt it on and peel it out

If you can store it at no cost to you, it will not lose value while you are away. However, I wouldn't advise spending $25K on a 15-year-old-car unless you plan to keep it for a loooonggg time or unless you REALLY like the car. When you return you can make that decision. Personally (being the owner of an S5 RX-7 and an RX-8), I would consider a good 3rd gen or an RX-8 if you're going to spend that much dough. By the time you return, you should be able to pick up a new, unsold '05 RX-8 for just a bit more than that. But like some will no doubt point out, an RX-8 is not an RX-7. And that is true. Drive one when you get badk and see if it fits.

Good luck with your tour and come back healthy!!!
