For $3000 you can get a nice TII.

Seriously, I wouldn't sink a bunch of money in the GXL. Believe me, you're gonna need every dime you can get your hands on to keep the FD alive and modded.

Header, exhaust, intake. Nitrous, ok, but you won't be beating any TII's with the same money spent on mods.

Your trump card is handling. For $1500 or less in slightly used suspension bits and wheels (check parts trader, ebay, etc), plus about $600 in good tires, you'll be showing taillights to Vettes through the twisties. Very fun for a daily driver.

Not too long ago, there was a thread about making a beefy N/A. Also, there was a link FULL of free mods, or next to free mods for FC's. Do a forum search for those things...or just scroll through the pages and eventuall you'll see both of them.
