I have looked through the FAQ and have searched without even a hint. I just need to know the PSI that the fuel system operates at in the lines. The section of hard line that bends up over the rear suspension is all rotted and I want to replace it with rubber. I have hose rated to 50 psi, do you think that will suffice?

whatever the fpr is set at will be whatever the line is, because the fpr wont let it go above it.

The FPR will run 35/40 lbs, but the pump can put out 80/90 lbs.
Most FI hoses are rated much higher, so I'd go bigger.

That's carb fuel hose. Do not use it for fuel injection. A stock TII will peak at 42-45psi fuel pressure (more when boost is increased), so that hose is totally inadequate. Only use hose made specifically for fuel injection. It will be rated for several times more than working pressure.

Thanks for the input. I picked up some fuel injection hose from work. I got my tank back in and the lines replaced. Went to start the damn car, and I crossed the lines. Had pressure on the return line. As I was fixing the problem I ripped the end of my thumb off. Talk about a jinxed project. Everytime I am almost done doing something to this car it bites me. oh well, at least I don't have to worry about blowing up in it now.

Last time I messed with my fuel lines I got gas sprayed into my eyes. How it did it I don't know because I used my fuel cut off switch to shut it down...

Well, fuel injection requires a certain psi to operate, so when you cut your fuel and let your car run till it dies there will still be fuel in the lines, just at a low pressure.

goodyear fuel hose are rated to 150 psi .. my fuel system hits 80psi on full boost

hIGGI posted some good info on the stock FC turbo fuel pump with real-world operating conditions.
The FSM does claim the stock FC turbo fuel pump dead ends pressure at around 90psi?
That number is useless to us.
