Soul had the rear fenders rolled with a Fender Rolling Tool similiar to the on Tire rack will rent you. They don't charge you for a 3 day rental, but they do charge a $500.00 (Cost of the tool) deposit that is returned when you ship the unit back

From what I've understood of the "baseball bat" technique... it takes a lot more of an asthetic touch? Get the machine, and do it right.

You asked for the "proper way". The baseball bat technique is primitive and does not give controlled pressure; which will lead to a waviness to the fenders appearance if not done properly.

Quotes from other folks who did this:
"First off, unless you live where it is always warm, don't 'grind' the lip
off of the fender... a Venom member did that and he has had to have the
fender repainted frequently to combat the rust. I rolled my fender myself
using the baseball bat method... it was a time consuming pain-in-the-butt
and the inner lip did crack on the drivers side 'cause I got a little
impatient and tried to roll too much too quickly. If you roll the fenders
a little at a time and use a heat gun, you may prevent cracking. Also, I
think you really only need to roll the very top of the arch which will save
you some time and possibly some cracking"

JDM, I hope you don't plan to be the only person at a KC meet with rolled fenders

I just hope your car isn't black.

no pictures will come up until I've gotten the bodywork done.

Current status; I have to take the UIM off so I can plug in the water thermosensor that I forgot, I need to wire my new fan thermoswitch, and then get it tagged and insured.

Soon; my 5/6th&VDI actuation system will be done, full manifold-back mandrel 2½" exhaust, and a PPG Wet Black paintjob.
