Its just more insulation on the wires. So how is it overkill? Just because you don't feel the difference, every little bit helps.

(dDub taught me that^).

Every little bit of what? Plug wires don't make power - plain and simple.

I usually put a disclaimer... I don't search while I'm at work, I have limited time to browse.

Some guys believe everything they read such as what Nology wires claim.
Just buy good quality wires in 8mm and you're fine. Oh by the way, don't buy Jacobs. They suck ***. The ends rust and I had to exchange them TWICE through a warranty company which sucks *** even more.

Yeah, I've got Magnecor 10mm on right now (previous owner), I'm doing a full tuneup on it, so I'm getting new wires... wasn't sure if I should go for Magnecor or NGK - looks like it will be NGK.

Stick with oem. My brother told me too many horror stories about his rx when he bought aftermarket/shucks/napa stuff.

You don't feel any difference because there is no difference. The conductor in the 8.5mm and 10mm wires is the same, and their performance is the same. Magnecor make this quite clear on their website. The extra insulation is to protect the conductor from extreme heat, which is not found on the cool side of a rotary street car's engine bay. Unless you have a race car they're a waste of money.

I have the Magnecor KV85's and recommend them.

yep magencor 8.5 worked great on my 2nd rx7 for years, and just got a new set for my third 7, but the ngks work great if you are on a budget
