I think my alternator just bit it. It was a cheap-o replacement from what I can tell. I was able to run the car for 10 minutes, then the battery must've died and it ran for another 5 minutes (enough to get home) when I shut the lights, heater, etc. off (and didn't use brakes). Trying to roll up my window killed it, lol.

Anyways, time for a new FD alternator from Mr. silverrotor.

Lol, good to know I"m not alone today. Two other guys had problems with their cars today, one of them had his guages freeze, lol.

I'm still going to try and resurect my alternator since I don't think I'll get one from silverrotor in time to get my car running for work.

Thermostat. The rubber peice on the plunger welded itself to the steel ring that makes up the face of the thermostat. I orderd it from the mazda dealership, but it's literally frozen down state due to an ice storm they had yesterday morning. Last quote for arrival is monday, so I get to freeze my @$$ off for a couple more days still (it's only ~ 7*F right now)

Yeah, unfortunately, I cannot meet your deadline...I will have more Kits prepared post-new years as my supplier headed to Cuba without my permission.

Let me know If there Is anything I can do for you.

That's cool, I recieved your PM earlier. I have excellent news (for me at least).

The alternator is just fine, I did all the tests the FSM suggests. The problem was that the wire had corroded at the crimp on the ring terminal, and there was pretty much just luck that the whole thing worked at all. It would explain some of the weird dips in power I was having while hitting bumps and what not. The joint must've become super birttle from the cold, and it just crumbled in my hands.

I snipped it off, cleaned everything real well, applied vasaline, and I get even more voltage then before! I'm not sure how many amps she's pushing because I'd rather not pull the connector again, but the car runs well again.

I'll definatly be purchasing one of your alternators in the future though, I have some plans that require it. I hope you keep selling them until the end of time bro.

I feel your pain Mazda SE, when I got my car it had holes in pretty much the same places. I can't weld, so I just cut the affected areas off and fiberglassed the holes. I plan on redoing some parts now that my fiberglass skills have increased. I might even use the front quarters as kind of a mold and make new fiberglass quarters.

I'm not sure If I understand the question correctly. Do you mean to have the FD Alternator ran In a FB? I'm sure of It as a handful of FB members have purchased from me.

I think it's killing my TPS. I also have a small puddle of coolant under the car. It's like 10 degrees right now so I won't be messing with that.

I think my TPS is on its way put too. The cold seems to make my driver's headlight wink a few times when I put it up or down until it decideds to actually stay in the position I want it.

Master cylinder is leaking (though that's probably from me bleeding my brakes improperly... pedal to floor & crap), and I discovered a coolant leak today (on my parent's driveway, no less). Looks like that bloody heater hose below the oil fill... hopefully it'll get me back to my place when I tighten stuff down. I need to replace it. More money.
