what parts are interchangeable?

wondering what parts are interchangeable (if any) for the fc. okay, lemme rephrase that. i'm getting a turbo II and about to go and pick it up....with a parts car.

the parts car is a non-turbo. are parts interchangeable between those cars? if not, i don't need to waste my time with the parts car. also, is there any parts that can come off a 3rd gen that will fit the turbo II? thanks for any info.

If they're both S4 or S5, most of the basic stuff is exchangeable. If they're both 5-lug hubs-than the brakes and all can go back and forth.
Also the suspension components should all go back and forth between any 2g. The rotors are different(duh) but everything else sould swap back and forth.

What parts do you want to exchange? Manifolds---nope sorry(maybe the upper intake). I think the coils, fuel rail, throttle body(maybe, not sure), front housing and rotor housings, o.m.p., oil pan and pump, E-shaft, E.g.r valve, and stuff like that should all be ok to switch.

really dunno if i'd need to. but if anything breaks, it's always nice to have the spare ya know? maybe the engine itself? radiator? alternator (doesn't a 3rd gen put out more, would it fit on a turbo II?)? etc. etc. just wondering what all will swap incase i ever need anything.

I'd take the parts car if you get it in the deal anyway. I didnt think about the radiator or the oil cooler. FD alternators put out more, but you have to modify them to make them fit right. There was a thread on here just a lil while ago about that. Like I said, go for it if it's in the deal anyway, hell I bought a GTU last year as a parts car for my SE before I had my license. I actually stripped the parts car of anything I thought I would need(almost everything in the engine bay), and now that I think about it, I wish I would have taken the doors and hatch too. It's just all sitting on the shelves in my shed w/ the exception of the engine(siezed) which I'm practicing my porting on and am getting pretty good.
Just take the damn thing, if you dont want it tell me whats wrong and maybe I'll buy it.
