Because of the low amount torque from a rotary, and having to slip the clutch to get going...

brakes!!!! aghhhhhh! stupid things hardly ever get changed and you most likely have to have a air gun to get anywhere doing them. Suspension...Stupid springs I have no tools to change them with. Clutch job... I dont think ill try one of these anytime soon, but the engine tilt method does sounds promising. Timing...I dont got the light.

thats it for now,

I agree...the F'in clutch. My T2...I had changed that F'er sooooooo mannnnyyyy times. I had torn up 2 Light flywheels, couldn't find the right combination disk...until kevlar came along......then the pilot and t/o bearings...

Everytime you do the job, everything needs to be replaced!!!

I have spent over $2k on clutch part combo's...

I hated that the MOST!!!

Oil Seals.... at least $400 a pop.... and all because it's blowing more smoke than Clinton in his final term. Not only do I have to work under the car, take all the **** off the top, pull it apart... just for a @#&$ peice of rubber.

At least I get a streetport! I can't wait

EXHAUST....definitely.

I have had this annoying exhaust leak since I've owned my convertible and I cannot get it sealed up tight for nothing. And if you've never had even the slightest exhaust leak on a rotary, it sounds like total crap.

Part of the reason I think these exhaust systems are such a PITA are the way they were designed. Most newer cars have a section of braided stainless steel flexible pipe mounted right after the downpipe to allow vibrations and flex from the engine not to transfer through to the exhaust. If you look at the way these stock systems were designed, the weight of whole exhaust system (other than the limited rubber hangers) is on the manifold with no room for give. Between the manifold and the short little downpipe is where I have this damn leak is that I can't get sealed up.
